Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Overview
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website, join an Orbit mailing list, download the app, or purchase and use Orbit.
If anything here is unclear, please contact us at hello@weareorb.it.
What information we collect
Depending on how you use Orbit, we collect:
- Your email address when you subscribe, request a download, join a waitlist, sign in, or purchase Orbit.
- Purchase and licence information, including amount, currency, product, and Stripe payment identifiers.
- Product lifecycle information, such as trial start and onboarding completion.
- Cookie choices and, with permission, browser, device, page-view, and conversion information.
We do not receive your full payment-card details from Stripe and do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.
How we use your information
We use your email address to:
- Contact you with updates about Orbit
- Let you know when the product is available
- Share relevant product news or early access opportunities
- Provide licences, process purchases, and operate Orbit
- Measure advertising performance and improve our website and conversion funnel, where you consent
We do not sell your data. You can unsubscribe from emails or withdraw optional cookie consent at any time.
Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We rely on consent for optional analytics, advertising cookies, marketing measurement, and marketing communications. We also process information where necessary to provide a requested download, licence, or purchase, and where we have legitimate interests in securing and improving our service.
If you are located outside the UK or EEA, we apply equivalent protections to your data.
How we store and protect your data
Your email address is stored securely. Access is limited to the Orbit team. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are in place.
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for these purposes, our contractual obligations, and applicable legal or accounting requirements. Consent records are retained so we can demonstrate and honour your choices.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@weareorb.it.
Third parties
We use service providers including Cookiebot for consent management, PostHog for consented product and website analytics, Meta for consented advertising measurement, Stripe for payments, and secure hosting and email providers. For Meta conversion measurement, your normalised email is transformed with SHA-256 before transfer; this remains pseudonymous personal data. We may also share browser identifiers, IP address, user agent, event details, purchase value, and currency when marketing consent is active. Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA; where they do, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.
Cookies and your choices
Cookiebot records your cookie preferences. We do not load the Meta Pixel or send events to Meta's Conversions API unless your marketing preference is active. You can change or withdraw that choice through the cookie settings on our website. Withdrawal stops future optional sharing; it does not make prior lawful processing disappear.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Orbit evolves. Any material changes will be reflected on this page.
